Hello again from Dr. Jim. I have been too busy with my Nashville “day job” this month to post much on our Hawks Nest blog. Sorry about that but we are going back to NZ on Sept 9th for the NZ spring and I have had to work at my "day job" here catching up on my patient’s visits and surgery before we go back to lovely Matakana.

All is well with the sales of our 04 US release in Tennessee of Hawks Nest Orchard Block Red. We are excited to now have our first wine store in Franklin, Tennessee agree to carry our wine. There are a LOT of wine drinkers in the Franklin area now and we are honored that Colin Ward has agreed to give our wine a try at Del Rio Wine and Spirits located just north of downtown Franklin on Hillsboro Rd. and Del Rio. His wife, Beth, also runs a Wine and Spirits store a bit further north on the same road north to Nashville south of Franklin High so we are pleased that you have two places to buy Hawks Nest Orchard Block Red in Franklin now. Colin used to work for Lipman Brothers before he and his wife developed their two Franklin stores so he really knows his wines of course. He is a dog lover as well so he let me bring Smudge, our doggie, with me when I dropped in to share our wine and meet him the first time. That is Colin with Smudge in the photo outside Del Rio Wine and Spirits. That was a first for Smudge to make a call for Hawks Nest and she behaved well!!!!

We hope to organize a wine tasting or wine dinner with Colin and Beth soon after Thanksgiving in Franklin to introduce and pour our upcoming 05 release of Hawks Nest Orchard Block Red. We will post more on that yearend event as we have details. (if you like our 04 you are gonna LOVE our 05!!!!!
